Frequently asked Summer Beer Thing Questions.

Come on then, let’s answer your Frequently Asked Questions. Not got the answer you want here? Reach out on Instagram - @summerbeerthing.

What beers are on and when? And furthermore - what breweries are on?

Our comprehensive running order list will be announced closer to the event. There will be signs up on the site and online with this info as well as beer boards behind the bar showing what’s on at that moment. We’ll be announcing our brewery line-up shortly too, follow us on socials for more.

What happens when I arrive?

You’ll show your advance ticket on your mobile device or print out at the entrance and be given a Summer Beer Thing glass and wristband, and we’ll tell you where to pop to to get the party started.

What’s the deal with beer tokens?

Beers at Summer Beer Thing will be served in 1/3 pint measures. Our preferred measure for tasting beers at festivals. Every beer at Summer Beer Thing will be one token price. One token = one third. Of anything.

The price of one beer is based upon the average cost of beer across the festival - we’re still in the process of finalising orders, which is why we’re unable to confirm token prices at the moment: we always do all we can to make sure it is affordable for everyone. Tokens will be available to purchase only by card.

Will tickets be available on the door?

We’re not able to confirm either way at the moment, but in previous years we’ve sold out ahead of the day - especially on Friday & Saturday - so we’d strongly advise advance booking as early as possible.

Can I leave once I’m in?

Why would you want to go anywhere else? But, yes - you will be given a wristband on arrival and you can come and go as you please at your session.

What if I don’t like beer?

You’ve come to the right place! No, really! The bars across Kampus will be selling their usual wares, including frozen cocktails at Nell’s. Yes please!

Do I need a wristband to get into the places across Kampus during Summer Beer Thing?

You ask all the right questions don’t you! No. Kampus businesses will be open to the public as normal throughout Summer Beer Thing, but only those who have bought a ticket will be able to get involved with any SBT taps, tastings, and anything else.

What if it rains?

We'll be a bit sad but it won’t really matter - we’ll have plenty of covered space, including gazebos and the bars & restaurants across Kampus.

I’m hungry?

I’m tired, but you don’t see me moaning. But! Nah, feel free to eat at any of the amazing places across Kampus - see what you can eat here.

Can kids come?

Children are welcome during the day accompanied by a guardian, but we’d advise that some bars around may reserve the right to allow entry past 7pm. Same goes for dogs. Not that kids and dogs are the same but the same rules apply.
